Locality Assignment

Infrastructure can be assigned to a locality via the localiteId field. This assignment allows:

  • Grouped visualization on the map
  • Cascading filtering (Sector → Locality → Infrastructure)
  • Automatic calculation of region and sector
info

If an infrastructure has no assigned locality, its GPS coordinates are used to position it on the map.

Visualization on GIS Map

Infrastructure is viewable on the GIS Map:

  1. Access the GIS map
  2. Open the layers panel
  3. Enable the desired layer:
    • Health centers
    • Schools
    • Water points
    • Police

Markers display a tooltip on hover with main information.

Data Export

Each section allows exporting data:

  1. Apply desired filters
  2. Click Export
  3. Choose the format:
    • CSV: Import into spreadsheet
    • Excel: Formatted .xlsx file
    • PDF: Printable document
Note

Export includes only data matching active filters.

Use Cases

Inventory a sector's water points

  1. Go to Geographic Reference → Water Points
  2. Select the sector in the filter
  3. View the list and statistics
  4. Export to Excel for analysis

Identify infrastructure without GPS

  1. Open the desired section
  2. Locate rows with "—" in the GPS column
  3. Plan field collection for these points
  4. Update coordinates after collection

Verify area coverage

  1. Open the GIS map
  2. Enable infrastructure layers
  3. Zoom on the area of interest
  4. Identify uncovered areas

Add new infrastructure

  1. Open the corresponding section
  2. Click Add
  3. Fill in required information
  4. Add GPS coordinates if available
  5. Assign to a locality if relevant
  6. Click Save
