Infrastructure

The Geography group lists four types of infrastructure. They appear on the GIS map and feed its distance-to-school and distance-to-health-centre filters.

Schools

Menu: Geography → Schools

Filters: Region, then Sector.

The form adds a Community field. Only the Name is required.

Health centers

Menu: Geography → Health Centers

Filters: Region, then Sector.

The form adds a Person in charge field. Only the Name is required.

Water points

Menu: Geography → Water Points

Filters: Sector, then Locality.

In the form, the locality list shows the sector before each name.

Police stations

Menu: Geography → Police Stations

Filters: Region, Sector, Locality.

The table shows the location, name, type, person in charge, phone and coordinates. The possible types are Police, Police station, Gendarmerie, Court and Other.

Figures: Total, With GPS, Active.

The form also includes the code, the position of the person in charge, email, address, observations and an Active box. Only the Name is required.

Examples

Find infrastructure without GPS

1. Open the screen you need and filter on the area.
2. Look for rows with a dash in the GPS column.
3. After the field visit, enter the coordinates with Edit.

List the water points of a sector

1. Open Geography → Water Points.
2. Choose the sector, then optionally the locality.
3. Check the Functional figure and export the list to Excel.
